Dowel Bug

KEY POINTS

As with all exercises in which you are lying on your back, remember to align your rib cage. Maintain this rib cage position throughout the exercise. DO NOT allow your back to arch up away from the floor.

You can use a dowel, yard stick, broom handle, PVC pipe or anything else that allows you to create a strong connection into your legs.

Pause in the extended position. Use your abdominal muscles to reinforce the connection between the dowel and your leg.

Breathe easily throughout the exercise.
